Job description

As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will drive the design, performance, and scalability of both frontend and backend architectures. Operating independently as well as collaboratively with software engineers, product owners, and UX designers, you will build innovative features to boost customer engagement utilizing modern Agentic AI tools. You will join a high-priority initiative at the world’s premier online travel platform, delivering key features that integrate into current infrastructure. Technical responsibilities span across micro-frontends, Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layers, and core Java backend services; proficiency across all areas is expected, with skill distribution balanced across the team., * Feature Engineering: Design and enhance user-facing features on web and mobile applications using modern frontend platforms alongside Agentic AI techniques, leveraging tools like Claude, Codex, and custom in-house AI models.

  • Backend Services: Develop, scale, and maintain backend ecosystems, such as push notification systems, API connectivity platforms, and order processing integrations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Convert product specifications and design concepts into responsive, accessible products using AI-driven development.
  • Code Standards: Ensure clean, robust, and testable code delivery (frequently generated alongside AI agents) and conduct peer code reviews to maintain high quality.
  • System Health & Reliability: Monitor system operations, resolve bugs, and utilize SLIs/SLOs to maintain high uptime and performance.
  • Agile Delivery: Participate actively in agile ceremonies, address technical debt, and collaborate within multi-team setups to meet project milestones efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical background (e.g., reputable coding bootcamp completion).
  • 3+ years of professional full-stack, frontend, or backend development experience.

Core Technical Competencies

  • Frontend: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and frameworks like React or Vue.js.
  • Backend: Hands-on expertise with Java or Java-based frameworks and building/consuming REST or GraphQL APIs.
  • Agentic AI: Direct experience implementing software features with Agentic AI workflows and integrating end-user AI solutions.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on skill with AWS services and deployment mechanisms like CloudFormation.
  • Databases: Core understanding of relational (SQL) or non-relational (NoSQL) databases and data modeling principles.
  • Testing & Quality: Ability to write unit and integration test suites to maintain software reliability.
  • Version Control & Tools: Experience working with Git and related tools.
  • Communication: Fluent written and spoken English, capable of articulating technical topics to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • DevOps & Cloud: Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and general cloud platforms.
  • Operations: Familiarity with deployment pipelines, system scalability, fault tolerance, and monitoring metrics (SLIs/SLOs).
  • Domain Knowledge: Background or strong interest in user engagement, recommendation systems, or notification architectures.
  • Data-Driven Practices: Understanding of data analytics and A/B testing within product development workflows.
  • Scale: Prior experience engineering applications that serve large, global user populations.
