Project Software Engineer SCADA

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Project Software Engineer to join a UK Renewable Energy Business working with wind & solar technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the definition, tendering & delivery of a strategic upgrade to their SCADA system. This is a technical leadership role focused on specification writing, vendor management & project oversight rather than hands-on development, acting as the client’s technical lead throughout the project lifecycle., * Defining requirements & developing detailed technical specifications

• Managing the tendering process & supporting vendor selection
• Overseeing project delivery to ensure scope, quality & timelines are met
• Establishing & enforcing standards for HMI, control systems & alarm management
• Coordinating stakeholders across internal teams & external contractors
• Other duties as required

• Strong experience with AVEVA System Platform
• Knowledge of InTouch & OMI migration within SCADA environments
• Proven experience delivering SCADA / industrial software projects
• Skilled in technical specification writing & vendor management
• Understanding of HMI design principles & alarm management standards
• Experience delivering large-scale system migrations

Generous day rate outside of IR35
