Global Snowflake Platform Lead

A Global Snowflake Platform Lead is required to join a leading international organisation that is continuing to develop and scale its global data platform. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a strategic Snowflake environment already adopted across multiple countries, combining hands-on technical delivery with platform leadership, stakeholder management and third-party vendor management.

Working across a global data and technology function, you’ll help evolve the Snowflake platform, support further international rollouts and enable data teams to adopt consistent, scalable and well-governed data engineering practices., * Own and evolve the global Snowflake platform, supporting its continued development and international rollout.

• Balance hands-on Snowflake engineering with technical leadership, platform strategy and stakeholder engagement.
• Define and implement standards across development, deployment, security, governance and platform operations.
• Work closely with global data teams across the UK, US and Europe to enable adoption and deliver consistent platform capabilities.
• Manage and technically oversee third-party vendors and delivery partners.

• Strong commercial experience with Snowflake within a data engineering or platform environment.
• Good understanding of AWS and cloud-based data platforms, alongside experience with dbt.
• Experience with DevOps, GitHub and CI/CD-based development and deployment practices.
• Experience working across global teams, multiple business units and/or federated technology environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to remain hands-on while operating strategically.
