Software Platform Innovation leader

Software company is seeking a Software Platform Innovation leader to establish and drive a clear innovation strategy that enhances client value and accelerates revenue growth. This role partners with senior leadership to shape and execute innovation initiatives, especially AI-powered capabilities that leverage proprietary data for predictive analytics, workflow digitization, and improved customer outcomes. You will explore emerging technologies (AI, AR/MR, and other disruptive tools), identify best practices, and connect platform capabilities to real client needs. If you have experience leading innovation efforts and successfully launching products and can take idea to business strategy coupled with previous software engineering background this could be an excellent position for you. Responsibilities:

• Define product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the platform, aligning capabilities with customer needs and business outcomes.
• Establish strong product management practices (discovery, prioritization, roadmap governance, adoption measurement, and value realization).
• Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Design, Data & AI, Sales, and business teams to deliver cohesive, scalable experiences.
• Own a balanced innovation and AI portfolio across Horizon 1, 2, and 3 initiatives.
• Identify, validate, and lead zero-to-one product opportunities from discovery through commercialization and scale.
• Manage budgets, stage gates, investment criteria, and transition plans for platform and innovation initiatives.
• Build cross-functional alignment, track performance metrics, and influence senior leaders to advance the innovation agenda.
• Develop and coach direct reports while fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required; MBA strongly preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in product management, platform products, innovation, or technology solutions, including leadership of complex cross-functional programs.
• Proven success defining and executing platform strategy and roadmaps for enterprise software, digital platforms, or AI-enabled products.
• Demonstrated experience leading zero-to-one product development from concept to market launch and scale.
• Experience managing a balanced Horizon 1-3 innovation portfolio, including applied AI initiatives.
• Strong technical fluency with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear product decisions and narratives.
• Ability to build investment cases, assess commercial viability, and influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence.
