Job description
You will play a key role in transforming workforce data into accurate, meaningful management information, ensuring colleagues and customers have access to reliable insight that supports planning, decision-making and continuous improvement.
This is a role where analytical thinking, attention to detail and collaboration are essential, with responsibility for developing reports, improving data quality and helping shape the future of HR data and reporting across the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
- Extracting, cleansing and combining data from multiple HR and business systems to create reliable reporting datasets.
- Designing, building and maintaining reports and dashboards that provide clear and actionable insight.
- Developing and maintaining robust data models and reusable datasets that support business reporting.
- Analysing workforce data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Providing timely and accurate management information to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Automating and standardising recurring reporting processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Monitoring and improving data quality, integrity and governance standards.
- Working closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and develop effective data solutions.
- Supporting the ongoing development of HR systems, reporting capability and data-driven decision making.
- Ensuring all data is handled securely and in line with GDPR and organisational policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Data Analyst, MI Analyst, Reporting Analyst or Business Intelligence role.
- Experience working with HR, payroll or workforce data would be highly advantageous.
- Experience extracting, cleansing, transforming and combining data from multiple systems.
- Strong experience designing and building reports and dashboards using Power BI or a similar BI platform.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables and working with large datasets.
- Experience developing and maintaining data models and reporting datasets.
- The ability to translate complex data into meaningful insight for non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience of reporting automation using SQL, Power Query, data flows or similar technologies.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to work independently when required.
- Knowledge of education or public sector environments would be beneficial.

- Salary of £40,000 per annum
- 25 days annual leave, rising in line with policy for the role
