Senior Cloud Data Engineer

Reporting to the Head of Software & Data Engineering, you will become a key technical owner across the companies AWS-based platform.

This is a broad, highly visible role spanning cloud engineering, platform architecture, DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, observability, cost optimisation and data engineering.

You’ll work closely with software engineers, bioinformaticians and scientists to ensure the platform scales reliably as data volumes and computational complexity continue to grow., * Own and evolve AWS cloud infrastructure

• Manage and optimise Kubernetes (EKS) environments
• Scale large genomics and biological data processing workloads
• Partner with engineering, bioinformatics and discovery teams on platform requirements
• Identify architectural improvements and implement scalable solutions

You are an experienced cloud engineer who loves building scalable infrastructure, solving complex technical challenges, and taking ownership of platforms that matter.

• Significant hands-on AWS experience in production environments
• Expertise with Kubernetes and containerised workloads
• Strong understanding of networking, IAM, security and cloud architecture
• Biotechnology, genomics, healthcare or pharmaceutical experience, You’ll influence architectural decisions, scalability, cost management and technology strategy while working alongside highly capable engineers and scientists.
