Job description
As an EDI Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring seamless data exchange across ThrivePass products, vendors, and carriers. Your work will directly impact operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and the reliability of our integrations.
You will:
- Own and manage a pipeline of 30+ EDI integration projects while meeting SLAs.
- Collaborate with carriers and vendors to define requirements, coordinate testing, and ensure production readiness.
- Analyze, document, test, and maintain EDI file processes across systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to existing integrations.
- Build and configure file automation processes using internal tools and middleware.
- Partner with engineering teams to implement new automations and SFTP exchanges.
- Monitor production, maintain files, and track the EDI lifecycle.
- Identify trends, recommend improvements, and create process documentation.
Requirements
Do you have experience in X12 EDI?, We’re looking for someone who’s technically strong, detail-oriented, and excited to build reliable, scalable integrations:
- A proactive and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills in fast-paced environments.
- High level of accountability and ownership.
Must Haves (Highly Important)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with EDI formats (Fixed width, JSON, XML, etc.).
- 2+ years of direct experience managing and working with ANSI X12 834 files (this is critical for success in the role).
- Experience working with benefits or enrollment platforms (TPA, COBRA, CDH, Health & Wealth, etc.).
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of HSA, HRA, FSA, and COBRA structures and processes.
- Ability to work independently and quickly adapt to new tools or systems.
- Experience handling sensitive data with a high level of confidentiality.
