Job description

The Data Analyst role will provide data collection, analysis, forecasting and support for a trade association office. Reporting will assist with evaluating industry trends, as well as providing insight into areas for organizational improvement.

  • Analyze labor hours, apprentice utilization, wage and benefit data, and other workforce metrics across multiple geographic areas.
  • Prepare and maintain reports based on this analysis, along with integrating data from other industry sources.
  • Identify trends and provide clear, actionable insights to support organizational and industry decision making.
  • Present data findings to leadership team.
  • Support forecasting and identify trends to help anticipate workforce and industry needs.
  • Maintain data accuracy by reviewing and validating information from multiple sources.
  • Support accounting/finance functions as needed.
  • Work independently and collaborate with team members.
  • Organize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Provide written & verbal communications to membership & leadership.
  • Miscellaneous tasks to support office team.
  • Comply with all company operating policies and procedures.

Requirements

Do you have experience in VLOOKUP function?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, statistics, or finance - or three years of related experience.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft 365 with advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data modeling.
  • Knowledge and understanding of CRM/Database systems.
  • Strong ā€œpeople skillsā€ - the ability to work professionally and confidentially with association and business leaders on complicated and occasionally adversarial matters.

Preferred

  • Experience with QuickBooks.
  • Experience developing and automating simple processes using online tools.
  • Experience with basic web site design.
  • Experience maintaining professional social media accounts.
  • Experience working with labor, construction, or trade association data.
  • Experience working with survey or industry benchmark data.
