Software Engineer

The role: You’ll be helping build and enhance the systems that support the company’s cash management and trading operations, working on technology that has a direct impact on business performance. You’ll be developing backend services, integrating data from multiple sources, and working closely with stakeholders to understand how technology can improve operational processes.

The team are looking for people with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to learn. Attitude is every bit as important as technical capability.

What you’ll be working on:

• Building and maintaining backend applications and services
• Developing solutions using Python and AWS
• Supporting systems that underpin cash management and operational processes
• Working across both software and data engineering challenges
• Building API’s and integrations between business systems
• Collaborating with engineers, traders, and business stakeholders
• Contributing to the ongoing growth and evolution of proprietary technology platforms
• Learning from experienced engineers and industry specialists

• 1-3 years’ experience in Backend Engineering or Full Stack Development
• Strong Python experience (other backend languages will also be considered)
• Experience working with AWS
• Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or similar academic background
• Strong problem-solving ability
• A proactive mentality
• Enthusiasm to learn and develop within a fast-growing business

You do not need energy, utilities, or trading experience. The business has experienced domain experts who will provide training and support.
