Job description

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep Microsoft Fabric and Power BI expertise to help build and scale a modern enterprise data platform. This role will support operational and financial reporting across multiple business entities, providing leadership with real-time visibility into project performance, financial health, and operational KPIs.

This is a highly visible role focused on enterprise data architecture, pipeline development, semantic modeling, governance, and scalable reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage enterprise data architecture within Microsoft Fabric, including:
  • Lakehouses
  • Dataflows Gen2
  • Data pipelines
  • Semantic models
  • Governance standards
  • Build and maintain scalable ELT pipelines integrating data from:
  • IFS Cloud
  • Vista
  • ComputerEase
  • Sage Intacct
  • CRM and operational platforms
  • Design enterprise data models supporting:
  • WIP / Percentage of Completion reporting
  • Job costing
  • AR aging
  • Retainage
  • Field service operations
  • Multi-entity financial reporting
  • Lead Power BI architecture and governance efforts including:
  • Semantic layer design
  • Row-level security (RLS)
  • Dataset certification
  • Deployment pipelines
  • Workspace administration
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to translate business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Establish data quality, monitoring, testing, and governance standards across the enterprise data platform.
  • Mentor analysts and technical team members on Power BI development standards and reporting best practices.
  • Support future-state analytics initiatives including predictive analytics, self-service BI, and AI-enabled reporting capabilities.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Stakeholder management?, * 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or senior BI development roles.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric including:
  • Lakehouses
  • Data Factory pipelines
  • Dataflows Gen2
  • OneLake governance
  • Semantic model deployment
  • Advanced Power BI experience including:
  • DAX
  • Composite models
  • DirectQuery/import optimization
  • Deployment pipelines
  • Workspace administration
  • Strong experience with enterprise data modeling (dimensional and relational).
  • Experience working with ERP and financial systems such as:
  • IFS
  • Vista
  • ComputerEase
  • Sage Intacct
  • Procore
  • Similar enterprise platforms
  • Strong SQL and Python skills for data transformation and pipeline development.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT and integration tools such as:
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Fabric pipelines
  • Boomi
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting construction, MEP, field service, or project-based operational environments.
  • Experience supporting multi-entity financial reporting.
  • Predictive analytics or AI-enabled reporting experience.
  • Experience implementing enterprise BI governance standards.
  • Experience mentoring analysts or engineering teams.
