Job description

At ECOM, we’re building a modern analytics environment powered by Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Direct Lake architecture. We’re looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to own the semantic models that drive reporting and decision-making across the business., * Design, optimize, and govern Direct Lake semantic models in Microsoft Fabric.

  • Troubleshoot performance, refresh, and connectivity issues across Direct Lake, Import, and gateway-connected sources.
  • Develop advanced DAX measures and optimize model performance.
  • Establish standards for dimensional modeling, security, and semantic model governance.
  • Implement row-level security and incremental refresh strategies.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to improve Delta table design, partitioning, and lakehouse performance.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable analytics solutions.

In this role, you’ll help shape the future of analytics at ECOM by:

  • Improving performance and reliability across enterprise reporting solutions.
  • Establishing modeling standards that scale with the business.
  • Influencing architecture decisions across Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Serving as the team’s subject matter expert for semantic modeling and Direct Lake performance.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Power BI semantic model development.
  • Strong Microsoft Fabric and Direct Lake expertise.
  • Advanced DAX and Power Query skills.
  • Experience with query folding, incremental refresh, and row-level security.
  • Strong SQL and dimensional modeling capabilities.
  • Experience working with OneLake, Fabric Lakehouses, and Delta Lake architecture.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred

  • DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer) certification.
  • Experience with Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, deployment pipelines, or source control.
  • Exposure to Spark, PySpark, or Fabric data engineering solutions.
