Microservices

Job description

Designing, building and maintaining scalable APIs, cloud-native microservices and backend services.
Developing distributed and event-driven systems, using messaging and asynchronous processing.
Helping shape technical and architectural decisions, balancing long-term improvements with immediate delivery needs.
Supporting live production systems, troubleshooting issues and helping to improve reliability and operational resilience.
Collaborating with engineers, architects, product teams and business stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions.
Mentoring and supporting other engineers, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous development.

Requirements

4-5 years hands-on experience working with Java and/or Kotlin
Commercial experience with AWS (preferred), Azure or GCP.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and development automation.
Strong understanding of software testing (unit, integration, component, end-to-end and performance testing).
Strong understanding of backend development, RESTful APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
Experience across the JVM ecosystem and comfortable working with live production systems.
