Job description

Taking ownership of core backend architecture, designing and delivering reliable, scalable solutions in Python
Building and refining APIs and microservices using modern frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django
Designing and optimising data models and SQL queries to ensure performance at scale
Deploying to AWS environments using modern DevOps practices - including Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation (Docker)
Contributing to the evolution of the engineering culture through mentorship, code reviews, and technical leadership
Driving automation and reliability through unit testing, API testing, and continuous delivery

Requirements

5+ years’ experience building production-grade software in Python
Strong knowledge of OOP, clean code principles, and modern design patterns
Confident working with SQL databases, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and infrastructure as code
Comfortable in Agile environments, with an understanding of CI/CD and DevOps workflows
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to guide and mentor others while staying hands-on
