Job description

Build your project management career while helping Ridge deliver its strategic plans and roadmaps.

At Ridge, you will join a growing business with ambitious plans. You will work alongside senior leaders, technical teams and internal and external stakeholders to help projects move from planning through to successful delivery.

This role will suit you if you already have some project management experience and want to develop your skills further. You will take a hands-on approach, pay close attention to detail and turn complex project information, risks and technical concepts into clear, practical guidance for stakeholders at every level.

What You Will Do

  • Work with senior managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives and deliverables that support business goals.
  • Deliver projects in line with agreed project governance.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, schedules and communication documents.
  • Agree clear success measures and communicate them throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies, critical activities, risks, issues and conflicts.
  • Plan, schedule and track timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools and communication plans.
  • Assign tasks clearly and track ownership and progress across the project team.
  • Work with stakeholders to secure the people and resources needed to deliver each project.
  • Build a positive project culture and encourage consistent ways of working.
  • Develop strong working relationships that support successful project delivery.
  • Tailor project updates to the needs of different stakeholder groups.
  • Work with budget holders to monitor project expenditure.

Requirements

  • Practical experience of supporting or managing projects.
  • An understanding of Waterfall and agile delivery methods, and the ability to choose an appropriate approach.
  • A PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner qualification would be an advantage.
  • Experience using project management software and project management office (PMO) tools.
  • The ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
  • Confidence to lead work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the flexibility to respond to changing priorities, demands and timelines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach for colleagues from different professional and technical backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal and research skills.
  • The ability to prioritise and deliver tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
