Job description

- Respond to IT tickets and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide in-person support for hardware, software, Microsoft 365, and connectivity issues.
- Help ensure that employee devices and equipment remain functional and ready for use.
- Replace or swap faulty hardware to minimize disruption.
- Document service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
Infrastructure and Asset Management
- Assist with the support and maintenance of workstations, printers, networking equipment, and peripherals.
- Tag hardware and maintain accurate technology inventory records.
- Support routine software updates, patches, and security checks.
- Assist with software licensing, asset documentation, and compliance records.
Employee Onboarding and Offboarding
- Assist with creating and configuring user accounts, email addresses, and system access.
- Set up laptops, applications, equipment, and workspaces for new employees.
- Distribute and document agency-issued equipment.
- Collect, process, wipe, and inventory equipment returned by departing employees.
- Help deactivate accounts and revoke access promptly during offboarding.
Project and Team Support
- Assist the IT Manager with technology projects and departmental initiatives.
- Support IT-related projects assigned by operations or organizational leadership.
- Collaborate with employees across the organization and provide courteous, patient customer service.
- Follow established procedures while identifying opportunities to improve support processes.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience with IT support, hardware, or computer systems.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong customer service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain technical information clearly to nontechnical users.
- Dependable, professional, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work onsite in downtown Los Angeles during regular business hours.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, or Copilot.
- Exposure to a help desk or ticketing platform such as Zendesk, Freshdesk, or Jira.
- Experience with IT asset management or inventory tracking.
- Previous IT support experience gained through employment, school, internships, volunteer work, or personal projects.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
