Job description

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with 6+ years of experience in backend development, with strong expertise in PHP and Adobe Commerce/Magento 2., The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and extending Magento applications, building APIs and integrations, working with event-driven architectures, and troubleshooting distributed systems in cloud environments., * Develop and enhance backend applications using PHP and Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce.

Build and extend Magento modules, services, plugins, observers, cron jobs, and message-queue consumers.
Develop and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs and service layers.
Integrate Magento with catalog, pricing, inventory, promotions, customer/identity, PIM, ERP, and OMS platforms.
Design and implement event-driven solutions using RabbitMQ or similar messaging platforms.
Develop middleware and adapters to support commerce-service integrations and phased migrations.
Troubleshoot performance and production issues across distributed systems.
Optimize Magento indexing, database performance, caching, and asynchronous processing.
Implement automated testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and production support practices.
Collaborate closely with Architects and other engineering teams on technical solutions.
Mentor engineers and provide hands-on technical leadership.

Requirements

6+ years of backend development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with PHP.
Strong expertise in Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce.
Experience with Magento REST APIs and GraphQL.
Experience with Magento modules, plugins, observers, cron jobs, and message queues.
Strong experience with RabbitMQ or similar asynchronous messaging technologies.
Experience with AWS/cloud-native services.
Strong knowledge of databases, caching, and distributed systems.
Experience with MySQL, Redis, or similar technologies.
Experience with CI/CD and automated testing.
Strong debugging and production-support experience.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience mentoring engineers or serving as a senior technical lead is preferred.
