Job description

We are seeking an experienced LabVIEW Test Automation Engineer to support advanced automated test development within a high-reliability aerospace and defense environment. This role focuses on developing next-generation test stand data acquisition (DAQ) systems using LabVIEW in support of production and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) operations., This is a highly hands-on engineering position working closely with hardware, manufacturing, and software teams in a lab-based environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing scalable LabVIEW test architectures, integrating NI hardware platforms, and supporting automated production test systems from development through deployment., * Design and develop LabVIEW-based data acquisition and automated test software for production FAT environments

  • Develop and maintain scalable test stand architectures and modular test frameworks
  • Support automated reporting, statistical analysis, test metrics, and data trending tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software, DAQ, and test system issues in production environments
  • Create user manuals, operator documentation, and engineering training materials
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives across automated test systems
  • Develop and support tools for post-test analysis, issue tracking, and performance monitoring
  • Support NI PXI-based DAQ systems and integration with PLC-controlled equipment
  • Program and support Allen-Bradley PLC ladder logic and industrial communication protocols
  • Ensure software development standards and best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle

Requirements

Do you have experience in Teamwork?, Required:

  • Strong experience developing automated test software using LabVIEW
  • NI Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) certification
  • Experience with NI PXI, cRIO, cDAQ, or related DAQ/test hardware platforms
  • Familiarity with PLC ladder logic programming
  • Experience with EtherNet/IP and Modbus communication protocols
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills within production test environments
  • Ability to work onsite in Sunnyvale, CA

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of LabVIEW-based automated test development experience
  • NI Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) certification
  • Experience supporting FAT, manufacturing, or high-volume production test environments
  • Experience with TestStand, LabVIEW OOP architecture, and HIL testing
  • Background in aerospace, defense, semiconductor, medical device, or other regulated/high-reliability industries
  • Experience developing automated reporting, data analysis, and test metrics tools
  • Experience supporting systems from NPI through mass production

Additional Notes:

  • This is a fully onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA
  • Candidates must be comfortable in hands-on lab and hardware integration environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are important due to cross-functional team interaction
  • U.S. Citizenship may be required depending on program assignment
