Job description

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you won’t just maintain systems you’ll architect robust solutions that push the boundaries of cloud infrastructure, automation, and user management.

This is your chance to own critical components at the intersection of cloud engineering, DevOps, and platform reliability - working hand-in-hand with talented cross-functional teams to accelerate delivery, automate complex pipelines, and implement cutting-edge monitoring and scaling strategies.

Why DataSnipper?

Audit and finance are still massively manual - and we’re changing that. DataSnipper is a $1B, bootstrapped unicorn with 600,000+ users across 180+ countries, already embedded in the daily workflows of top audit and accounting firms. Now, we’re taking things further with our Excel Agent - bringing AI directly into where the work actually happens.

Unlike generic AI tools, we don’t sit on the sidelines. Our AI operates inside Excel, with access to real documents and audit evidence - meaning it doesn’t just generate answers, it does the work, with full traceability.

We’re not just applying AI - we’re redefining how audit gets done. If you want to build something category-defining at scale, this is the place.

What You’ll Do:

  • Monitor, maintain, and improve DataSnipper’s cloud infrastructure reliability, availability, and performance
  • Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to reduce recurrence
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code solutions
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to embed reliability and observability practices into the development lifecycle
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS (and Azure), including containerized workloads
  • Contribute to on-call rotation and incident response processes
  • Document operational runbooks, incident postmortems, and infrastructure architecture decisions
  • Define and track service-level indicators (SLIs) and service-level objectives (SLOs) for owned services.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in a site reliability, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure engineering role

  • Hands-on experience with Azure services: Container Apps, Key Vault, Front Door, Terraform
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub Actions)
  • Strong understanding of networking, distributed systems, and cloud security fundamentals
  • Works independently on defined infrastructure responsibilities and escalates complex issues appropriately
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Grafana, Datadog, or similar)

Benefits & conditions

What We Offer:

  • Be part of one of the fastest-growing, profitable unicorn scale-ups in the Netherlands with a global impact
  • Equity (Stock Appreciation Rights) to share the company’s success and growth
  • Excellent salary package, competitive for top tech talent
  • Pension plan with a 6% contribution on top of your base salary
  • 28 vacation days per year (full-time) to support your work-life balance
  • Hybrid work model with at least 3 days onsite in our dynamic Amsterdam office
  • Daily, freshly prepared lunches by our in-house chef to keep you energized
  • NS business card for easy commuting to the office
  • Access to continuous learning and development initiatives to grow your skills
  • Engage with a vibrant international team spread across five global offices
  • Company-wide events like DataSnipper GO where global teams come together
