Job description

Design and develop scalable Java-based microservices
Contribute to greenfield development and system architecture
Build full-stack functionality across Java backend and JavaScript frontend
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders across the business
Drive best practices in CI/CD, testing, and software quality
Support delivery of long-term strategic projects
Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth

Requirements

Strong commercial experience in Java
Proven experience developing microservices architectures
Solid experience with SQL / relational databases
Frontend experience with JavaScript
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
Experience working in Agile environments
Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
Familiarity with Spring Boot or modern Java frameworks
Experience working on SaaS platforms
Background in large-scale or regulated environments
Must be UK-based with the right to work
Hybrid working: 2-3 days per week onsite in Berkshire
