Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical Proficiency?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Industrial Design, Digital Media or Animation or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience in 3D modeling, visualization, or prototyping required. Strong understanding of artistic principles (form, composition, color, spatial design) and technical constraints required. Experience collaborating across creative and technical disciplines required. Proficiency with industry standard 3D Tools (e.g., Blender, ZBrush, or similar) required. Experience with AR/VR platforms or real-time 3D engines (e.g., Unity) required. Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills required.
Preferred Qualifications: Industry certifications such as Stratasys Level 1/2 Operator, SME AMT/AMF/CAMA, or Autodesk/SolidWorks certifications preferred. Familiarity with 3D scanning, mesh repair, and digital asset preparation workflows preferred.

Clarkson College is currently seeking a 3D Technical Artistic Specialist position. The 3D Technical Artistic Specialist is responsible for end-to-end 3D design, prototyping, and immersive simulation development, serving as a key liaison between artistic vision and technical execution in both the 3D Printing and Training Center and the Interprofessional Simulation Center. This role supports product innovation, research, and development initiatives, including the creation of AR/VR experiences for simulation, visualization, and testing. The position blends creative artistry with technical problem-solving, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality, technically viable 3D assets and immersive solutions that advance innovation efforts., Clarkson College is a private college in Omaha, Nebraska and is known for leading the education and training needs in our region for over 137 years.
