Job description

  • Lead the technical side of the team in fast iteration cycles with tight deadlines, using Agile/Scrum methodology while ensuring applications meet quality standards.
  • Coordinate configuring, coding, developing, and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle, from concept and design through build, deploy, test, release, and post-launch support.
  • Participate in technical, design, and architecture discussions with external partners from the finance sector.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine business requirements and design, develop, and test application code to meet those requirements.
  • Drive a best-practices approach to continuous improvement of products, processes, and tools.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs for production issues.
  • Liaise with the product development team to plan new features.
  • Research and suggest new mobile products, applications, and protocols.

Requirements

  • We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Developer with at least 5 years of experience.
  • We need someone with great problem-solving and communication skills who is comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • We require extensive experience working on iOS, Android, and web applications, with a track record of building complex, responsive, and sophisticated apps.
  • We are seeking a smart, innovative technical lead who can help coordinate and drive a next-generation high-performance app project.
  • We need strong technical experience in React, Swift or Objective-C, Java for mobile development, and Rails, Node.js, and Angular for web development.
  • We require 5 to 7 years of extensive native mobile app (iOS and Android) and web app development experience.
  • We need a demonstrable portfolio of released web apps and mobile applications on the App Store or Android market.
  • We are looking for experience with multi-threaded client software, client-server architecture, and scaling systems.
  • We need experience implementing Agile methodologies and the software development life cycle.
  • We require familiarity with development tools such as Xcode, Android Studio, Eclipse, and source control tools such as Git and Stash.
  • We want someone who can perform well in a team environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Financial Information Exchange FIX Protocol, trading technology, or currency exchange technology would be helpful.

Benefits & conditions

We are a relatively young but fast-growing financial technology company based in the City of London. We are building a next-generation high-performance app and offer a permanent full-time role with a salary of circa 60,000 to 75,000. We work in a fast-paced environment with external partners in the finance sector and are looking for someone to help lead our technical delivery.
