Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day Join our motivated, multidisciplinary team for the development of industrial steam turbine blading with global product responsibility. Focus on the design and optimization of high-, medium-, and low-pressure steam turbine blades. Collaborate on the roadmap for blading development and necessary technologies. Gain insights through interfaces with purchasing, production, assembly, order processing, offers, and sales. How You’ll Make an Impact Involvement in product and technology development for the complete blading path of industrial steam turbines Design and optimize the steam path; support the creation and implementation of the blade and technology development roadmap Focus on numerical fluid mechanics, including 3D flow calculations, blade and profile optimization, and efficiency optimization Plan and evaluate model and field measurements; analyze feedback from the global steam turbine fleet Create and develop design rules; manage research and development projects in collaboration with external research institutions and Siemens Energy’s international engineering network Support purchasing, production, assembly, order processing, quotation, and sales What You Bring University degree in turbomachinery, aerospace engineering, energy technology, or a related field Relevant experience in turbomachinery and blade design Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and aerodynamics Proficiency in numerical methods (CFD), preferably with ANSYS CFX Scripting and programming skills are advantageous; knowledge of mechanics is desirable Proficient in German and English, with a preference for dynamic teamwork and open communication About the TeamOur Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector. Requirements

  • University degree in turbomachinery, aerospace engineering, energy technology, or a related field
  • Relevant experience in turbomachinery and blade design
  • Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and aerodynamics
  • Proficiency in numerical methods (CFD), preferably with ANSYS CFX
  • Scripting and programming skills are advantageous; knowledge of mechanics is desirable
  • Proficient in German and English, with a preference for dynamic teamwork and open communication
