Job description

As a Senior Environment Concept Artist at Eleventh Hour Games, you will help define and expand the visual identity of our worlds. You will create high-quality environment concepts that establish mood, scale, architecture, and environmental storytelling for Last Epoch universe.

In this role you will collaborate closely with Art Direction, Environment Art, Design, and Production to translate high-level creative vision into clear, actionable concepts that support gameplay, narrative, and technical constraints., * Create environment concept art that defines locations, biomes, architecture, landmarks, and points of interest

  • Establish mood, lighting, color palettes, and material language to support world-building and narrative tone
  • Produce a range of deliverables, including keyframes, paint-overs, mood boards, color scripts, and production-ready callouts
  • Collaborate with Art Direction to explore visual directions and iterate based on feedback
  • Partner with Environment Artists to ensure concepts are clear, practical, and translatable into in-game assets
  • Work closely with Design to align environments with gameplay needs, readability, and player flow
  • Support live development by creating concepts for new content, expansions, and seasonal updates
  • Maintain visual consistency across environments while introducing fresh ideas and variation
  • Contribute to and help refine environment art documentation and style guides
  • Participate in reviews and critiques, offering constructive feedback to peers

Requirements

Do you have experience in Lighting design?, * 6+ years of professional experience as an Environment Concept Artist in games, film, or related industries

  • Understanding of environment design, composition, perspective, lighting, and color theory
  • Ability to create clear, production-focused concepts that support downstream art teams
  • Experience collaborating with art directors, environment artists, and designers in a production setting
  • Proficiency with industry-standard tools (Photoshop, Procreate, Blender, or similar)
  • Ability to work iteratively, incorporate feedback, and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong visual storytelling skills and a passion for world-building
  • Comfortable working in a fully remote, globally distributed team

PREFERRENCES:

  • Experience working on ARPGs, dark fantasy settings, or stylized realism
  • Familiarity with live-service development and ongoing content production
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine or Unity pipelines and how concept art supports them
