Oracle CPQ Architect

Job DescriptionJob Overview: SoftClouds LLC is seeking an Oracle CPQ Architect passionate about delivering excellence, making a difference, and taking digital transformation to the next level. The Oracle CPQ Architect is responsible for managing and delivering CPQ solutions for our client engagements. The ideal candidate will directly manage a distributed team of implementation, along with functional resources. This position requires strong knowledge of both business processes and technology to drive the solutions that align with the client’s business objectives., * Ensure that the project is scoped correctly and meets business objectives with a high degree of quality.

• Provide estimates for functional and technical deliverables.
• Review team’s deliverables to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Ensure team deliverables are compliant with functional standards and IT processes.

• Partner with business leaders and other IT teams on options to solve business problems, including business requirements, solution options, and approach; incorporates these components into a business case when required.

• Provide subject matter expertise and solution direction for the client’s needs.
• Provide guidance and set best practices for their team.

• Support Enterprise Application leadership and Architecture in defining, maintaining, and publishing future state capabilities.

• Provide support in building the Statement of Work for the new client deals.

• Ability to evaluate client needs for Product Configuration, Pricing methods, integration, and recommend solutions accordingly

• Solid understanding of SaaS development processes and methodologies

• Solid understanding of Oracle CPQ and CRM data models, architecture, constraints, governor limits and change management.

• Strong exposure to Oracle CPQ architecture and implementation best practices.

• Develops visually rich and professional conceptual design documents targeted at varying audiences of business and technical aptitude

• Develops detailed configuration specifications documentation targeted to technical resources
• Manages customer communications, conflicts, and negotiations related to overall solutions design
• Conducts solutions presentations and obtains customer acceptance to the solution design

• Validates solutions after being built and provides a solution walkthrough with the customer. Guides the customer through solution deployment

• Team player with excellent verbal & written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Proven experience with the Configuration/Administration of Oracle CPQ Cloud

• Working with the client to understand and document their existing processes as well as document their future, improved and standardized processes that CPQ will enable

• Creating Technical requirements as an input to the Oracle CPQ application design
• Ability to work with development staff to complete the development
• Planning and executing data conversion activities (e.g., test data)
• Testing functional designs for business solution components and prototypes
• Ability to work with multiple projects and work streams at one time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple business leaders to complete projects quickly
• Maintains/enhances technology expertise, keeping current with evolving systems analysis, programming and database technologies.

Technical & Functional Skills:

• Minimum 7-9 years of experience in successful Oracle CPQ project implementations

• In-depth knowledge in Product Configuration & Rules, complex Configurator setups, Commerce Process, Complex workflow approval, Document Engine and Pricing functionality of Oracle CPQ Cloud

• Extensive experience as a technical architect in large-scale CPQ implementation
• Experience in customized Oracle CPQ Cloud integration with CRM/ERP applications
• Proven experience in working with BML/BML Functions/BMQL for complex use cases

• Exposure to Oracle CPQ Cloud Integration using pre-built connectors and point-to-point integration with CRM (SF) and ERP applications (Oracle ERP)

• Experienced in Bulk Data Upload/Migration Strategy from Legacy System to Oracle CPQ Cloud using Oracle CPQ Cloud APIs

• Expertise in integration of SFDC with Oracle CPQ Cloud, DocuSign and third-party cloud applications
• Experience with JavaScript and CSS for Big Machines UI Customization. Experience in BML, BMQL and Libraries

• Experience with Mobile Configuration Layout and experience in deploying Oracle CPQ Cloud on Mobile platform is a plus

• Proven experience in migrating code between instances

• Should be able to work closely with Business leaders, process owners and SMEs to elicit CPQ business requirements/business processes and articulate to technical specifications

• Should have Strong CRM functional knowledge of Order Management, Configuration, Pricing and Quoting functionality

• Should have good knowledge/experience of Agile Project Methodology

Education:

• Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, computer science or related fields
