Working closely with the Clinical Director, Directorate Manager, Deputy Directorate Manager and Matrons, you will provide visible leadership and take responsibility for ensuring high-quality operational performance across designated clinical service areas. You will support day-to-day service delivery while also leading critical workstreams that improve access, efficiency and patient experience., * Provide operational leadership and ensure safe, effective day-to-day running of designated services.
- Lead transformation and improvement projects across the Directorate.
- Support performance delivery, including RTT, Diagnostics and Cancer targets.
- Contribute to emergency care pathways within relevant specialties.
- Maintain oversight of budgets and support financial planning and cost-improvement initiatives.
- Develop business cases and service development proposals.
- Provide line management, appraisals and staff development.
- Represent the Directorate at internal and external meetings, deputising for senior managers when required., The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

You will need to be able to communicate highly complex and sensitive information, influence change across professional boundaries, and foster collaborative working with clinical and non-clinical teams.
You will be resilient under pressure, able to manage emerging operational challenges, and committed to promoting a positive culture aligned with the Trust’s values. Strong project management skills, excellent judgement, and the ability to lead, motivate and develop staff are essential., * Experience of working in a managerial role in the NHS

Management qualification Degree or equivalent management experience., Essential criteria
- Experience providing line management support to a variety of staff
- Experience working closely with a varied multi-disciplinary team.

- Experience in the acute sector, * Knowledge of national NHS policy, standards and performance metrics
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise as appropriate.
- Expert use of IT resources and Microsoft Office
- Able to work pro-actively and co-operatively with senior management and clinical staff.
