Atlassian Solutions Architect

Job SummaryClient is seeking an experienced Atlassian Solutions Architect IV to design, govern, and optimize its Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Confluence, Jira Product Discovery). Operating at the intersection of large-scale engineering and precision product development, this role ensures seamless workflows from product discovery to delivery. The architect will enable hardware, firmware, and creative teams to collaborate effectively while maintaining system integrity, compliance, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Atlassian Platform Administration & Governance
• Architect and configure Jira Software, Jira Product Discovery (JPD), and Confluence Cloud/Data Center instances.
• Manage user provisioning, permissions, and security groups; conduct audits to reduce technical debt.
• Integrate Atlassian tools with external engineering systems (GitHub, PLM, ERP, CAD, compliance tools).
• Hardware, Design & Asset Workflow Orchestration
• Map physical product development processes into digital workflows (Phase-Gate approvals, ID prototyping, firmware/electrical engineering).
• Architect Jira workflows for Marketing and Creative teams to track packaging artwork, regulatory labeling, and GTM assets.
• Create templates and project blueprints for New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Configure custom fields and linking strategies for hardware attributes (SKUs, BOM references, certifications).
• Product Discovery & Roadmap Leadership
• Partner with Product Management to configure JPD for opportunity assessment and prioritization.
• Build dashboards for real-time visibility into milestones, release readiness, and cross-functional dependencies.
• Knowledge Ecosystem & Training
• Design Confluence Space hierarchies as the “Single Source of Truth” for PRDs, specs, and compliance records.
• Develop training materials and conduct workshops for 200+ users, promoting agile best practices. *

• 7-8 years of hands-on Jira administration and architecture (Cloud/Data Center).
• Expert knowledge of custom issue types, workflows, and Jira Plans (Advanced Roadmaps).
• Proven experience configuring Jira Product Discovery boards, views, and matrices.
• Deep proficiency in Jira Automation, JQL, ScriptRunner, REST APIs, or Python scripting.
• Expertise in Confluence macros, blueprints, and content governance., * Experience integrating Atlassian tools with hardware engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with PLM, ERP, and CAD management systems.
• Strong background in compliance-driven documentation environments.
