Job description

Support HPC users to improve “time to science”
Port, optimize & parallelize scientific codes
Conduct benchmarking & system performance tuning
Provide mentoring & technical leadership to junior engineers
Develop training materials & user documentation
Support secure production HPC environments & scheduling systems

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in STEM + 10+ years professional experience
5+ years in modeling & simulation within heterogeneous, multi-platform environments
Experience supporting HPC user workflows (modeling/simulation & GUIs)
Strong knowledge of High Performance Computing (HPC) environments
Proficiency in Fortran, C, and/or C++
Scripting expertise in BASH and Korn (ksh)
Strong Linux OS skills (RHEL/SE Linux preferred)
Experience debugging, maintaining, and optimizing large code bases
Familiarity with coding standards, unit testing & configuration management
Experience delivering HPC training workshops/tutorials
Ability to work independently in secure lab environments
