Job description
We are seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide onsite technical support for desktop, laptop, printer, network, and server environments. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting end users, and maintaining IT infrastructure in a professional customer-facing environment., Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, servers, and network devices.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Perform PC and laptop imaging, reloading, and operating system installations.
- Replace hard drives and perform disk replacements on enterprise storage systems.
- Support legacy systems as well as core desktop and server products.
Installation & Maintenance
- Install, move, add, and change IT equipment as required.
- Test and certify PCs, networks, servers, and approved client applications.
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment upgrades.
- Support network infrastructure from operational and maintenance perspectives.
Customer Support & Service Delivery
- Respond to incidents and service requests assigned through Help Desk or Service Desk teams.
- Escalate complex technical issues when necessary.
- Provide timely follow-up and resolution for customer issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation and update ticketing systems accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with client-specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism in communication, appearance, and conduct.
Requirements
This role is ideal for a hands-on IT support professional with 1-3 years of experience in desktop support, field services, or help desk operations., * 1-3 years of computer support, desktop support, or field service experience.
- Experience troubleshooting PC hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and desktop applications.
- Experience with computer imaging and re-imaging processes.
- Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a field support environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting servers, network devices, and enterprise storage systems.
- Experience using ticketing systems and service management tools.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus.
