Job description

Would you like to combine hands-on embedded software development with technical ownership and architectural responsibility? In this role, you shape the embedded software platform for our Smart Leveling Systems, by influencing both the technical solution and the way we develop, integrate and release embedded software. You work across software architecture, AUTOSAR integration, microcontroller development and technical project coordination, while collaborating with internal engineering teams, customers and external development partners. Take technical ownership: Lead embedded software development activities across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and architecture through implementation, integration, testing and release. Translate into solutions: Analyze customer and system requirements and derive robust software requirements and architectural concepts for electronic Smart Leveling Systems. Shape the AUTOSAR architecture: Define, configure and further develop an AUTOSAR Classic-based software architecture. Stay close to the code: Develop and review embedded software in C for microcontroller-based systems. Own interfaces: Define and coordinate interfaces between software, electronics and system components, ensuring reliable integration across our complete embedded system. Drive integration and quality: Coordinate software integration, debugging and testing activities, analyze complex technical issues and support root cause analysis. Guide technical collaboration: Coordinate external development partners and distributed engineering teams, ensuring technical alignment, quality and reliable delivery. Shape the future: Contribute to our embedded systems strategy, and continuous improvement of development processes in line with V-Model and automotive standards.

Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering or comparable. Profound professional experience in requirements engineering and automotive embedded software development. Strong practical knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic architectures and relevant components. Programming skills in Embedded C, understanding of microcontrollers and operating systems, and knowledge of automotive communication and diagnostic protocols, such as CAN. Experience in software integration, embedded debugging, root cause analysis and requirements-based testing, ideally using tools such as CANoe. Familiarity with development processes and standards, such as ASPICE and ISO 26262. Ability to coordinate complex technical topics across teams, partners and stakeholders while remaining actively involved in engineering decisions. Very good English language skills (min. C1), German language skills are a plus.
