Job description

As a Software Engineer, you’ll help shape the cloud-based future of our fundraising department and translate its requirements into technical solutions. You’ll design and implement decoupled, event-driven microservices and integrate our CRM (MS Dynamics 365) and Customer Insights with external systems. Together with an interdisciplinary Scrum team, you’ll drive the expansion of scalable cloud capabilities., As a team member, you’ll support our projects on-site-without actually being on-site. In this role, you’ll take on the following responsibilities:

  • You’ll develop asynchronous serverless microservices using Azure Functions and Azure Service Bus Queues
  • You’ll integrate Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Customer Insights with external platforms
  • You’ll develop customizations and interfaces for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Customer Insights to support complex administrative processes, marketing workflows, and segmentations
  • You’ll further develop our automated unit and integration tests to ensure high system stability
  • You analyze performance bottlenecks and implement measures to ensure high system availability
  • You develop clean, maintainable code (especially in C#) and conduct regular code reviews
  • You will document interfaces, components, and key architectural decisions in a clear and up-to-date manner
  • As part of an agile team, you will work closely with the Product Owner, architects, and database specialists, and maintain regular communication with key users and stakeholders

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, a completed vocational training program as an IT systems technician, or several years of relevant professional experience in software development
  • Several years of hands-on experience developing with C# and .NET Core
  • Practical experience developing cloud-native architectures on Microsoft Azure (Functions, Queues)
  • In-depth knowledge of working with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven systems
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Basic understanding of CRM systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Customer Insights)
  • Strong commitment to quality in clean code, automated testing, and well-written technical documentation
  • Enjoyment of agile teamwork (Scrum) and fluency in German and English

  • Starting salary ranging from €4,020 to a maximum of €5,084 (for full-time employment) + 13th-month salary
