Senior .NET / VB.NET Application Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET / VB.NET Application Developer to join a long-term project in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing and maintaining enterprise applications using Visual Basic (VB.NET), ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, and Microsoft Visual Studio. This role requires a highly skilled professional who can analyze business requirements, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and collaborate effectively with global teams and international stakeholders. The successful candidate will also leverage Microsoft Copilot and modern development tools to improve coding efficiency, automation, documentation, and overall development productivity., * Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-level applications using VB.NET, ASP.NET, and ASP.NET Core.

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions.
• Develop, test, debug, and deploy application enhancements and new functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and support materials.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Utilize Microsoft Copilot and AI-assisted development tools to streamline coding, testing, documentation, and productivity.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database interactions with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, architects, QA teams, and other developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in technical meetings with international clients and stakeholders.
• Communicate technical concepts, solutions, and recommendations clearly in English.
• Support application modernization initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Technical Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with Visual Basic (VB.NET).

• English proficiency: B2 to C1 level (Required).
• Must be able to successfully participate in an interview conducted in English.
