Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, additional relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. \n

  • \n Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance at the time of hire. \n

  • \n Must be IAT Level II compliant, example possess a current CompTIA Sec+ CE or equivalent. \n

  • \n At least eight years of military, federal government, or defense-contractor experience supporting enterprise IT, communications, mission systems, or comparable operational environments, including experience in or directly supporting Capital Region missions. \n

  • \n Demonstrated experience applying systems-engineering principles across requirements analysis, solution design, integration, implementation, verification, sustainment, or service improvement. \n

  • \n Working knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, networks, end-user services, cybersecurity, service management, and operational support dependencies. \n

  • \n Proven ability to lead cross-functional stakeholder coordination, deliver executive and technical communications, and translate mission needs into actionable requirements, support models, and measurable acceptance criteria. \n

  • \n Experience coordinating service-level agreements, memoranda of agreement or understanding, service-cost estimates, or comparable customer-provider commitments. \n

  • \n Experience with IT service-management practices, including service catalogs, request fulfillment, incident and problem management, change enablement, and continual improvement. \n

  • \n Ability to assess technical and operational risks, evaluate alternatives, identify root causes, and develop practical corrective actions. . \n

  • \n Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, interdependent actions, and time-sensitive customer or leadership requirements. \n, Previous experience supporting AFNCR IT Services, AFDW/A6, the 844th Communications Group, 744th Communications Squadron, 794th Communications Squadron, or supported mission partner and geographically separated units.

  • \n Provide advisory and assist support to 844 Communications Group (844 CG) and Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) Government Service Owners (GSOs). \n

  • \n Draft, review, and maintain MAJCOM-level guidance, supplements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligning with DAFMANs, AFIs, DoDIs, and NIST frameworks. Route staffing packages via official coordination. \n

  • \n Support the Mission Partner Integration Office by delivering end-to-end IT service governance, requirements validation, and operational support across AFNCR, GSUs, and mission partners to ensure IT catalog offerings directly align with mission needs. \n

  • \n Coordinate agendas, develop briefings, document meeting minutes, and track action items for executive bodies such as IT Governance Boards or Architecture Review Boards. \n

  • \n Manage Congressional, DoD, SAF/CN, and subordinate wing taskers. Coordinate inputs, deconflict stakeholder feedback, and synthesize consolidated staff responses \n

  • \n Design, integrate, and manage engineering and solution-design project activities throughout the service lifecycle in coordination with the Project Manager, Chief Architect, operations leaders, and technical teams. \n

  • \n Translate validated requirements into architectures, technical recommendations, implementation approaches, acceptance criteria, cost estimates, and sustainment considerations. \n

  • \n Conduct technical assessments, alternatives analyses, trade studies, and risk evaluations to identify feasible, secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. \n

  • \n Develop, review, and maintain systems-engineering artifacts, including requirements baselines, interface documentation, solution designs, implementation plans, decision records, risk registers, and verification or validation criteria. \n

  • \n Collaborate with 744th Communications Squadron, 794th Communications Squadron, 844th Communications Group organizations, contract leads and requesting units to refine agreement requirements and map them to appropriate Service Catalog offerings and support or cost models. \n

  • \n Ensure in-progress equities are routinely briefed to the responsible action officer and communications-squadron leadership and verify required local government concurrence before staff review and signature. \n

  • \n Prepare executive briefings, technical recommendations, status reports, and decision-support products covering agreement negotiations, annual reviews, service performance, risks, and recommended actions. \n

  • \n Partner with the Current Operations and Site Lead on quality-of-service initiatives and coordinate complex matters with higher-level organizations, including the HQ Cyberspace Capabilities Center, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, AFDW/A6 and enterprise mission aligned stakeholders, as required. \n

  • \n Collaborate with the Operations Fusion Team to develop clear stakeholder communications for changes to the Service Catalog, service-request processes, and supported capabilities. \n

  • \n Assess customer requirements, current Service Catalog offerings, and operational models to identify support risks, mission gaps, dependencies, resource needs, and opportunities for service improvement. \n

  • \n Analyze service-request templates, ticket-queue routing, BMC Helix/Remedy processes, monitoring tools, and performance data to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and customer outcomes. \n

  • \n Establish and monitor engineering and service-performance measures, analyze trends and recurring issues, and support root-cause analysis and corrective-action planning. \n

  • \n Experience supporting Joint Base Andrews, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, the Pentagon, Headquarters Air Force, or Joint Staff organizations. \n

  • \n Experience developing, coordinating, maintaining, and assessing service-level agreements and memoranda of agreement or understanding. \n

  • \n Experience with BMC Helix Remedy, ServiceNow, or comparable enterprise IT service-management platforms and digital service catalogs. \n

  • \n Knowledge of Department of the Air Force and Department of War enterprise IT, cybersecurity, operational-security, and governance requirements. \n

  • \n Systems-engineering, project-management, cybersecurity, or continual-process-improvement certification, such as ASEP/CSEP, PMP, Security+, Lean Six Sigma, or an equivalent credential. \n

  • \n Demonstrated success improving service delivery, simplifying customer workflows, reducing recurring issues, or implementing enterprise-scale process improvements. \n

Pay Range:Pay Range $116,350.00 - $210,325.00\n
