WNS Laboratory and Field Maintenance Technician - ASRC Talent Solutions

The WNS Laboratory and Field Maintenance Technician provides safe and efficient sampling and analytical support for field operations. The role verifies the quality of field sales products, monitors facility systems and treatment chemicals, supports asset integrity activities for facilities and pipelines, and assists Operations with routine facility and drill site maintenance., * Report analytical data using LabVantage Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Business Objects.

• Analyze custody-transfer crude oil samples.
• Perform fieldwide sampling and routine analysis of production facility systems, including glycol, gas, water, and oil systems.
• Collect and prepare wellhead program samples, including SIR samples, and collect non-routine samples as required.
• Perform maintenance pig sampling and analysis, biocide envelope sampling, and monthly Bureau of Land Management gas sampling and recordkeeping.
• Submit requests for laboratory equipment, materials, and supplies, and help maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Update laboratory sampling and analytical procedures.
• Maintain the safe, reliable, and effective operation of the Alpine Laboratory.
• Validate data for accuracy and correct identified errors.
• Support corrosion monitoring efforts intended to extend the service life of facilities, pipelines, and other field assets.
• Identify and support opportunities to expand laboratory analytical capabilities.
• Assist operators with routine drill site and facility work, including pigging support, installation and removal of EIPs, flange management, and related operating tasks.
• Inspect and perform minor repairs on operating equipment and tools; manage operations materials and inventories.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain orderly laboratory and work areas.
• Comply with all safety, environmental, respiratory protection, and training requirements.
• Participate constructively in team decision-making and support agreed-upon decisions.

• Minimum of two years of direct oilfield or petrochemical operations experience.
• Legally authorized to work full time in the United States for an employer other than the candidate’s current employer.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive independently throughout North Slope field locations.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift independently and without direct supervision.
• Ability to differentiate colors accurately.
• Ability to participate in and comply with a respiratory protection program.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read and interpret meters, gauges, written instructions, and operating information., * Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or another science discipline, with coursework in general and analytical chemistry. Relevant experience may substitute for specific coursework.
• Two or more years of laboratory testing experience in the petrochemical industry.
• Two or more years of oilfield operations, roustabout, field maintenance, or mechanical support experience.
• Experience working on the North Slope or in another remote or Arctic environment.
• Ability to identify historical trends in large datasets.
• Experience performing ad hoc bench chemistry testing to classify unknown samples.
• Familiarity with LIMS platforms.
• Instrument certifications earned through industry-provided technical training.
• Training and experience in flange management.
• Experience with material handling, rigging, and lifting operations.
• Experience with facility maintenance, equipment inspections, and minor repairs.
• Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment in an industrial setting.
• Familiarity with snow removal, winterization, and severe-weather work.
• Intermediate ability to read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and isometric drawings.
