Mainframe Developer - Onsite, Dallas TX area - W2 Only

Develop, test, and support complex mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, and VSAM. Collaborate closely with architecture teams to design robust solutions, participate in requirement analysis, and oversee system testing. Optimize application performance through tuning and capacity planning. Create detailed documentation for a variety of applications and subsystems. Act as a key problem-solver by resolving project and technological issues with innovative approaches. Mentor junior developers and lend strategic technical advice to ensure project success and continuous improvement.

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe application development with COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, SYNC SORT, and MQ-Series
• Proven track record in test automation, performance tuning, and mainframe support
• Strong expertise with mainframe tools such as Endevor, File-Aid, Abend-Aid, Intertest, and Control-M
• Skilled in data flow analysis, debugging, and version control management
• Familiarity with open-source technologies like Python is a plus

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with web services and Java
• Knowledge of open-source tech integrations
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of targeted experience in mainframe systems, particularly in financial or brokerage environments

• Onsite presence in Dallas, TX

Estimated Min Rate: $38.50 Estimated Max Rate: $55.00
