Data Engineering Manager

Insight Global is seeking a Manager of Data Engineering for a top logistics and supply chain client. This candidate will lead the strategy, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-wide data engineering initiatives that support analytics, automation, operational visibility, and AI-driven decision making. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in modern cloud data platforms with proven leadership experience, guiding a team of engineers while partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders. This individual will play a key role in advancing a modern data ecosystem, delivering scalable data products, and enabling data-driven growth across a complex global organization.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field

5+ years of experience building and supporting data platforms, analytics, BI, or data engineering solutions

2+ years of leadership and people management experience

Strong expertise in data architecture, data modeling, cloud platforms, and modern data engineering practices

Hands-on experience with Databricks, AWS, Snowflake, Airflow, Sigma Computing, or similar technologies

Proven success leading enterprise-scale data initiatives and driving business outcomes

Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and prioritization skills Logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry experience

Experience supporting AI-enabled decision-making initiatives

Exposure to data governance, lineage, and regulatory compliance (GDPR/SOX)

Experience managing global engineering teams
