Senior Full Stack Angular/Java/AWS Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help modernize and enhance a critical regulatory filing platform used to support complex compliance and reporting requirements.

In this role, you will build and maintain modern web applications, scalable backend services, and cloud-native solutions while playing a key role in an AI-first engineering culture. You will partner with architects, product teams, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality software that is reliable, secure, and easy to maintain.

This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, mentoring others, driving architectural decisions, and leveraging AI-powered development tools to accelerate software delivery.

What You’ll Do

Full Stack Development

• Design, develop, and maintain modern Angular applications and micro-frontends.
• Build scalable Java Spring Boot services and REST APIs.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using AWS services including Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, and API Gateway.
• Create and support complex data collection and validation workflows.
• Implement responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces.

Platform & Architecture

• Contribute to modernization initiatives and long-term technical strategy.
• Design and maintain microservices-based architectures.
• Build and enhance schema-driven application capabilities.
• Collaborate across teams to identify technical dependencies and reduce delivery risk.
• Drive improvements in application performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Technical Leadership

• Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers.
• Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Champion software quality through testing, automation, and observability.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex production issues.

AI-Accelerated Engineering

• Utilize AI development tools such as Copilot, Claude, and other AI assistants as part of daily software development workflows.
• Build reusable developer productivity solutions and automation frameworks.
• Create and improve AI-assisted workflows for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and engineering operations.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive development tasks and improve team efficiency.
• Experiment with and implement agent-based development patterns, tooling integrations, and AI-driven engineering practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience developing applications with Angular and TypeScript.
• Strong object-oriented programming experience using Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building and supporting distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and source control best practices.
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools in production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JSON Schema and schema-driven application development.
• Experience with Angular Formly or similar dynamic form frameworks.
• Experience building and supporting micro-frontend architectures.
• Knowledge of business rule engines or expression languages such as SpEL.
• Experience with Playwright, Jasmine, Karma, or similar testing frameworks.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and cloud automation.
• Background in financial services, regulatory technology, compliance, or related industries.
• AWS and/or AI-related certifications.
