Full Stack Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Custom Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Java and Spring Boot development, along with expertise in building scalable enterprise applications and microservices., Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot technologies. Build responsive and user-friendly front-end applications using React. Develop and integrate business process workflows using Camunda. Design, develop, and support RESTful APIs and microservices architectures. Perform unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing to ensure software quality and reliability. Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks utilizing Cypress. Execute performance and load testing activities using JMeter and optimize application performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, QA, Architects, and DevOps teams within Agile environments. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while improving application scalability, stability, and performance.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in software development and enterprise application engineering. Strong expertise in: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, Application Development. Experience with: React, Camunda, Cypress, JMeter, Agile Methodologies Experience designing and developing cloud-ready applications. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work effectively in collaborative, fast-paced development environments. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms including: AWS Microsoft Azure Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience with Linux/Unix environments. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks. Experience supporting high-volume production applications and distributed systems.
