Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Frontend Developer (React) based in Spain. As a Frontend Developer, you’ll build elegant, high-performing web applications that make a tangible impact for users. You’ll take ownership of user-facing features, reusable components, and scalable frontend architecture using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript. The role combines hands-on development with a strong focus on automated testing, quality assurance, performance, and maintainability. You’ll work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders to turn sophisticated designs into intuitive digital experiences. You’ll have meaningful influence over technical decisions while contributing to a fast-moving, collaborative product development environment. The position is well suited to an experienced engineer who takes pride in clean code, thoughtful UX, and reliable software. You’ll also have opportunities to grow your technical expertise as the product and technology landscape evolves. Accountabilities

  • Develop new user-facing features and create reusable UI components and frontend libraries for future use.
  • Translate complex Figma designs into responsive, accessible, and maintainable CSS/JavaScript implementations.
  • Build and enhance web applications primarily with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and collaborate closely with designers to deliver high-quality user experiences.
  • Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs, including GraphQL and Apollo.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Maintain and improve existing frontend codebases while adhering to established coding standards and best practices.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to continuous improvements in code quality and development processes.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests using Cypress, Playwright, Storybook, Chromatic, or comparable testing and visual regression tools.
  • Work collaboratively with backend engineers, designers, product managers, and other development team members to deliver product enhancements.
  • Investigate and resolve frontend performance, scalability, and quality issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with JavaScript and strong knowledge of core JavaScript concepts.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with TypeScript.
  • 5+ years of experience developing with React and building Single-Page Applications (SPAs).
  • 3+ years of experience with HTML5 and CSS3.
  • 3+ years of experience working with GraphQL and Apollo.
  • 2+ years of experience with modern CSS technologies, including CSS, SCSS, Less, or CSS-in-JS.
  • Strong practical experience with visual regression and automated testing tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Storybook, Chromatic, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with component and design systems such as Ant Design or TailwindCSS.
  • Strong understanding of frontend architecture, UI development, performance optimization, and software quality practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented and service-focused mindset.
  • Passion for software development and continuous technical improvement.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects, work independently, and remain accountable for delivery and quality.
  • Availability to work within the Central European Time zone, approximately CET ±1 hour.
  • Experience with data visualization frameworks such as Chart.js or Google Charts is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AWS technologies is advantageous.
  • Experience with React Native is a plus.

Benefits & conditions

  • Fully remote working environment.
  • Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative product development setting.
  • Passionate, supportive, and team-oriented colleagues.
  • Startup-style environment with significant opportunities for professional and career growth.
  • Regular team activities and opportunities to connect with colleagues.
  • Comprehensive onboarding with a dedicated ramp-up period.
  • Open communication culture with direct, constructive feedback.
  • Meaningful ownership and the opportunity to make a visible impact on the product.
  • Exposure to a modern technology stack and opportunities to expand your technical expertise as new technologies emerge.
