Job description

Own features end-to-end, from API and service design through to frontend delivery and production
Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using C# .Net
Build customer-facing features across the backend and Vue frontend
Own architecture and technical decisions within your domain
Collaborate closely with Product, Design and Compliance to take features from idea to production
Improve reliability, observability, testing and production performance
Modernise legacy services and contribute to wider architectural direction

Requirements

Strong C# .Net backend development experience
Good knowledge of frontend development, ideally Vue.js experience, although React experience is also fine
Strong API, system design and distributed systems knowledge
Experience with SQL and relational databases
Experience with production AWS, with CI/CD, SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS or Lambda advantageous
Good understanding of microservices and event driven architectures
Comfortable taking technical ownership and mentoring others
Experience in payments, financial services or another regulated environment is desirable

About the company

We are a global financial services company rebuilding our international payments platform within our Corporate Payments division. This is a senior, hands-on Full Stack Engineer role based in Bracknell with work from home most of the time and office attendance twice a week. The package includes a salary up to £85k plus bonus, 23 days holiday rising to 28, your birthday off, pension, life assurance, income protection, critical illness cover and healthcare.
