Linux System & Cybersecurity Engineer (Managed Services)

We are seeking a highly motivated Linux Systems & Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Managed Services team at our client’s office near Madrid.This role is focused on the maintenance, operation, and security of critical server infrastructures in a technically demanding environment.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Linux server administration, infrastructure maintenance, and cybersecurity operations.You will work closely with technical teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of mission-critical systems.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based server environments.Perform routine server maintenance, patching, upgrades, and performance optimization.Monitor system health, availability, and security posture.Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, hardening standards, and best practices.Support incident response, vulnerability management, and security investigations.Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and security teams to maintain service continuity.Contribute to documentation, operational procedures, and security compliance initiatives.Ensure systems meet security and operational requirements in a high-availability environment.Required QualificationsProven experience in Linux System Administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, or similar distributions).Experience working in Managed Services, Infrastructure Operations, or Server Maintenance roles.Good understanding of networking, operating systems, virtualization, and cloud technologies.Experience implementing cybersecurity controls and server hardening practices.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary technical teams.Excellent communication skills in an international environment.Preferred ExperienceCandidates with experience in one or more of the following cybersecurity domains will be highly valued:Foundations & General SecurityCyber DefenceDigital Forensics & Incident Response (DFIR)Offensive Security / Penetration TestingCloud SecurityIndustrial Control Systems (ICS/OT Security)Cybersecurity Leadership & GovernanceArtificial Intelligence SecurityCertificationsRelevant cybersecurity certifications are considered a strong advantage.Certifications within the following domains will be particularly appreciated:Foundations and General SecurityCyber DefenceDFIROffensive OperationsCloud SecurityIndustrial Control SystemsCybersecurity LeadershipArtificial Intelligence SecurityThis is a 100% on-site contract.Duration: aprox 3 years
