Job description

Rolls Royce Motor Cars seeks a Principal Controls Specialist in Modeling and Simulation to lead development of advanced control strategies for ultra luxury vehicles. You will design and validate control models for powertrain, chassis, and vehicle dynamics, using simulation tools to optimize performance, safety, and comfort. Partnering with cross functional engineering and BMW Group teams, you’ll define requirements, run virtual calibration and HIL tests, analyze data, and guide implementation into production. You’ll mentor engineers, champion best practices, and drive continuous improvement in a precision and quality obsessed environment., * Lead design and development of vehicle control strategies using modeling and simulation

  • Build, validate, and maintain dynamic models for powertrain, chassis, and systems
  • Run virtual calibration, HIL, and SIL simulations to verify performance and safety
  • Analyze test and simulation data, optimize control parameters, and document results
  • Collaborate with cross functional engineering and BMW Group teams on integration
  • Define system requirements and ensure robust implementation into production vehicles
  • Mentor and technically guide junior engineers in controls and modeling methods
  • Champion best practices, model governance, and toolchain improvements
  • Support troubleshooting of complex controls issues in development and launch
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in vehicle dynamics and comfort
