Job description

At Rolls Royce Motor Cars, the Performance Engineer for New Product Introduction ensures our ultra luxury vehicles meet exacting ride, handling, refinement, and durability standards. You will lead performance target setting, test planning, and validation for new models, translating brand attributes into measurable engineering criteria. Working closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams, you’ll analyse test data, resolve complex performance issues, and drive continuous improvement in methods and tools within a craftsmanship focused, innovation driven culture., * Lead performance engineering activities for new product introduction across vehicle programs.

  • Define, plan, and execute performance and durability test campaigns for key systems.
  • Analyse test data to verify performance targets and drive design improvements.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to embed performance requirements early.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for performance-related issues.
  • Translate customer and brand attributes into measurable engineering performance criteria.
  • Prepare technical reports and present findings to engineering and leadership stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with Rolls Royce, BMW Group, and relevant industry standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of validation methods, tools, and processes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in performance and NPI engineering.
