Security Consultant

You’ll support security risk, compliance and assurance activities, helping ensure solutions are designed and delivered in line with relevant government and defence security requirements.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Assessing security risks and compliance within government environments
• Supporting the implementation and assessment of security-by-design principles
• Advising project and technical teams on security requirements
• Supporting security assurance and risk management activities
• Applying relevant defence security policies, standards and frameworks
• Working with stakeholders to identify and manage security risks
• Supporting assessments against Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) principles
• Producing and reviewing security documentation and assurance artefacts

This is an excellent opportunity for a security professional with 3+ years of experience and previous MOD experience to work on a high-profile programme within a complex government environment., * 3+ years’ security experience

• Previous MOD experience - essential
• Active SC clearance - essential
• Strong understanding of security risk and compliance within government environments
• Experience with security-by-design
• Knowledge of JSP 440, JSP 451 and JSP 453
• Understanding of government security and assurance frameworks
• Experience working with CAF principles
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and wider information security standards
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Up to £575/day all-in
• Inside or Outside IR35
• Major UK defence programme
• 2 days per week onsite in High Wycombe
• Long-term contract opportunity
