Staff Engineer / Developer (C# .Net AWS Python) London / WFH to 120kWould you like to join a growing and profitable scale-up recognised as a leading FinTech disruptor, where you’ll have significant influence, visibility and genuine opportunities for progression?As a Staff Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the technology strategy, architecting and building highly performant, scalable solutions across the Microsoft technology stack. Collaborating closely with cross-functional Agile teams in two week sprints, you’ll champion engineering best practice, drive technical standards and ensure high quality software is delivered on schedule.There’s plenty of new development ahead, with a range of new features and initiatives to shape. You’ll also play a key role in driving the adoption of AI across the business, exploring opportunities such as chatbots, automation and AI powered process improvements.This is a high-impact position with excellent visibility across the organisation.

Reporting directly to and working closely with the CTO, you’ll have a genuine voice in technical direction and the opportunity to see the direct results of your work as the business continues to grow.Location / WFH:There’s a hybrid policy, with two days in the brand new London offices and flexibility to work from home two days a week (Thursdays and Fridays).About you:You are an experienced Software Engineer / Developer with a strong knowledge of modern software engineering best practicesYou have strong C# backend development skills, ideally also Python coding skillsYou have a good knowledge of AWSYou have experience of working on highly scalable systemsYou have a strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design PatternsYou have experience with, or a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence and are keen to explore the possibilities further e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, CopilotYou have strong analysis and problem solving skills alongside
