Jr. AI Software Developer

As an Elevate consultant you will be immersed in a supportive learning environment that includes:

• Full-time, entry-level IT career (40hrs week)
• Technical Training (80-100 hours): Receive focused, hands-on technical training. This training is designed to build upon your existing knowledge and equip you with practical skills for your role, which is customized to you and your positions technology stack.
• Professional Development: Enhance your soft skills, communication, and business acumen through dedicated professional development sessions.
• Mentorship: Be paired with experienced mentors who will provide guidance, support, and insights as you navigate your early IT career.

Day to day

• Building evals and datasets; catching quality regressions before customers do
• Prompt engineering for a live customer-facing agent - tone, refusals, guardrails
• Debugging agent behaviour through Langfuse traces
• Feature work in our Temporal-based agent harness
• Chat UI in React/Next.js; tests; code review

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
• Working proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, C#, or Python
• Demonstrable curiosity about LLMs - coursework, side projects, or an articulate opinion about why a prompt failed
• Fundamentals: Git, writing tests, reading unfamiliar code, HTTP/REST
• Clear written communication

Preferred - React/Next.js any Google Cloud Platform or Azure exposure Docker, CI/CD hands-on use of AI coding tools any exposure to prompt evaluation.

Each associate is paired with one of my senior engineers as a mentor.
