Job description

Eliassen Federal is seeking a Senior Application Developer / Atlassian Engineer to support a federal customer. This is a senior, hands-on role focused on Jira/Confluence Data Center, Atlassian Cloud migrations, application development, IAM, and Azure., Lead and execute Jira and Confluence Data Center-to-Cloud migrations Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot custom Jira/Confluence solutions, plugins, workflows, and integrations Develop and maintain applications using Java, JavaScript, SQL, and Azure Administer and support Jira and Confluence Data Center environments, including upgrades, patches, security, and troubleshooting Design and maintain IAM solutions, including SSO, SAML, MFA, Active Directory, LDAP, and RBAC Evaluate legacy applications and recommend modernization approaches Troubleshoot complex application, database, integration, infrastructure, and authentication issues Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and customer support Develop technical documentation, implementation plans, and estimates

Requirements

10+ years of application/software development experience Deep hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence Data Center Proven experience migrating Jira/Confluence to Atlassian Cloud Strong Java and JavaScript development experience Strong SQL/database experience, including stored procedures and Azure SQL Experience with Atlassian Forge and Jira Cloud Strong IAM experience with SSO, SAML, MFA, AD, LDAP, and RBAC Experience with Azure App Service, Azure DevOps, and Azure SQL Strong troubleshooting, communication, and technical leadership skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

Ideal candidate: A senior developer who can independently own the technical side of Jira/Confluence, application development, IAM, and the migration from Data Center to Atlassian Cloud in a federal environment.
