Job description

At Tata Technologies we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering and validating the products of tomorrow for the world’s leading manufacturers. Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for System Architect to be based at our customer’s office in Gaydon.

Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.

Scope of Role

Define system-level technical solutions and manage requirements, interfaces and architecture maturity throughout the automotive product development lifecycle. The role provides technical ownership for a vehicle system or capability and coordinates the engineering disciplines required to deliver an integrated solution.

Area of Responsibility

  • Define system context, architecture, boundaries and operating scenarios.
  • Capture, analyse and decompose stakeholder and system requirements.
  • Allocate requirements to hardware, software and subsystem elements.
  • Define and manage internal and external system interfaces.
  • Perform trade studies, impact assessments and technical risk analysis.
  • Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability and architecture documentation.
  • Lead system design reviews and support technical decisions.
  • Coordinate verification approaches with integration and validation teams.
  • Support issue investigation and resolution across the system lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Degree in systems, electrical, electronic, automotive or software engineering.
  • Automotive systems engineering experience.
  • Practical experience in requirements analysis, architecture and interface management.
  • Strong understanding of hardware, software and network interactions.
  • Experience leading technical reviews and cross-functional discussions.

Desirable:

  • MBSE and SysML experience.
  • ISO 26262, ASPICE or AUTOSAR awareness.
  • Experience with safety-related or fail-operational systems.
