Job description

At Tata Technologies we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering and validating the products of tomorrow for the world’s leading manufacturers. Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for Software Engineer to be based at our customer’s office in Gaydon.

Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.

Scope of Role

Develop, integrate and validate embedded automotive software applications supporting vehicle functions, monitoring, diagnostics and control behaviour. The role converts system and software requirements into application design, implementation, unit tests and integration evidence.

Area of Responsibility

  • Analyse software requirements and develop application-level designs.
  • Implement embedded application software in C/C++ or model-based environments.
  • Develop monitoring, state management, diagnostic and control functions.
  • Create unit tests and support SIL and HIL validation.
  • Integrate application software with platform services and interfaces.
  • Debug defects and perform root cause analysis.
  • Maintain source code, configuration, traceability and technical documentation.
  • Participate in code reviews and software quality activities.
  • Support builds, releases and integration events.

Requirements

  • Degree in software, electronics, control systems or automotive engineering.
  • Embedded software development experience.
  • Strong C/C++ or MATLAB/Simulink development skills.
  • Experience with requirements-based development, debugging and unit testing.
  • Understanding of real-time embedded systems and vehicle communications.

Desirable:

  • AUTOSAR application software experience.
  • ASPICE and ISO 26262 awareness.
  • Python scripting and automated testing experience.
