Developer, SR (MUMPS)

• The Clozapine Decom REMS team supports mission-critical capabilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs within the Patient Care product line. As a Developer, SR (MUMPS), you will help deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions across the full software lifecycle. You will work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate mission needs into measurable outcomes, manage technical and delivery risks, and support high-quality releases., * Design, develop, test, and support VistA/MUMPS or InterSystems IRIS solutions, integrations, routines, globals, and application components as applicable.
• Analyze existing code and workflows, implement maintainable enhancements, and preserve compatibility with established VistA conventions.
• Support database and interface changes, data validation, patch creation, packaging, release, installation, and post-deployment verification.
• Collaborate with analysts, testers, infrastructure teams, and VA stakeholders to resolve defects and operational issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment evidence, test results, and sustainment procedures.

• 10+ years of VistA, MUMPS, Cache/IRIS, or comparable clinical/government health IT development experience.
• Hands-on experience with MUMPS and VistA conventions, data structures, interfaces, testing, and production support.
• Experience with patch creation and the VistA patch release, packaging, installation, and verification process.
• Experience with healthcare, pharmacy, medication-management, e-prescribing, or other clinical application workflows is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required government credentials, including a PIV where applicable.

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Microsoft 365, and collaborative Agile delivery tools.
• Experience with VistA patch development and release processes, InterSystems IRIS, MUMPS, or VA Pharmacy applications., * Clear written and verbal communication with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Strong ownership, attention to detail, and ability to work independently while collaborating in a distributed team.
