Job description

A prominent public-sector organization is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to deliver database application support services across the agency. In this role, you will act as an assistant DBA, supporting server management, database maintenance, and collaboration with technical leads, project managers, and internal teams to implement technical requirements., * Manage, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server database environments.

Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize complex T-SQL code, stored procedures, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports.
Maintain, refactor, and update existing application and database code developed by internal engineers.
Assist in server and system administration to ensure system security, high availability, and optimal performance.
Provide end-user technical troubleshooting and support for internal applications.
Translate functional and technical specifications into functional database schemas and program modules.
Support IT project managers throughout all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Requirements

Strong hands-on background in Microsoft SQL Server administration, SSRS, and T-SQL development.
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, mitigating, and resolving complex technical issues across data systems.
Proven ability to maintain and enhance code bases authored by other developers.
Experience providing direct end-user technical support and system troubleshooting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Development experience with .NET Standard (4.8+) and Visual Basic / VB.NET or C#.
Familiarity with web technologies: ASP.NET, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and JSON.
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
Hands-on experience with Microsoft SharePoint administration or integration.
